Overview:
As an Online Vehicle Diagnostic Technician, you’ll play a key role in providing remote diagnostic and programming services for a diverse range of vehicles. Based in Nottingham, you’ll work in a modern, lively office environment and enjoy a role that combines technical expertise with customer support — all with no weekends and a clear path for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth vehicle diagnosis, module programming, and key programming using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Utilize the company’s remote diagnostic portal to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions directly to customers and technicians.
  • Interpret diagnostic codes and data to recommend effective repair actions, aiming for first-time fixes.
  • Maintain and update diagnostic equipment and software, staying current with industry innovations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share insights, troubleshoot complex issues, and continuously enhance team performance.
  • Keep accurate records of diagnostic procedures and outcomes to ensure quality service and compliance.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, electronics, and electrical components.
  • Proficiency with automotive diagnostic software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a solutions-focused mindset.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience as a diagnostic or master technician across various vehicle brands.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary negotiable based on experience (£38,000–£45,000).
  • 30 days holiday including bank holidays (increasing with service).
