About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join our well-established Honda dealership in Ipswich. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of vehicles that come through our workshop. What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out Honda servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs to the highest standards.
  • Perform MOT testing confidently, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Diagnose faults accurately using digital tools, and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Attend to warranty repair procedures, brakes, steering, suspension, and engine work.
  • Conduct vehicle health checks, including timing belts, clutches, and engine diagnostics.
  • Support the preparation of Honda Approved Used Vehicles and road test when needed.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • At least four years’ experience in an automotive workshop or dealership.
  • Current MOT Tester licence (Class 4).
  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Genuine interest in diagnostics and fault-finding.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Honda experience (full manufacturer training provided if not).
  • Experience in a franchised dealership or reputable independent workshop.
