Job Description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification and proven workshop experience, working within a professional franchised dealership environment. Pay / salary: Up to £36,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus bonus opportunity
Job type: Permanent / full-time role
Shift and schedule: 40-hour working week, with rota patterns, Saturdays or flexible arrangements depending on site requirements

Skills and experience
•    Level 3 IMI, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
•    Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Service Technician in a dealership, franchise or busy workshop environment

Job Responsibilities for the Vehicle Technician role
•    Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs accurately in line with manufacturer, dealership and safety standards.
•    Use diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to identify faults and complete effective repair work.
•    Record inspection results, repair recommendations and completed work clearly on job cards and digital systems.
•    Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, workshop control and colleagues so customers receive clear updates.
•    Complete work within agreed timescales while maintaining quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
•    Support a professional, team-focused workshop culture and help ensure vehicles leave the workshop performing at their best.
