Job Description

Tyre Technician role for a growing automotive service centre, suited to an experienced professional who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, safety and excellent customer service. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a strong salary package, bonus potential and excellent training and career development benefits.

Must have a valid MOT Licence and a full UK driving licence.

Location: Plymouth
Pay / salary: up to £29,500 basic per annum plus bonus, OTE £32,600
Job type: Permanent / full-time role
Shift and schedule: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Saturdays on rota

Skills and experience
•    At least 2 years of tyre fitting experience or a formal automotive apprenticeship
•    An automotive field qualification is highly desirable

Job Responsibilities for the Tyre Technician role
•    Carrying out safe and accurate tyre replacements, balancing, and puncture repairs on consumer cars and vans.
•    Removing and refitting relevant wheels, valves, and tracking components using proper workshop tools.
•    Identifying additional vehicle safety defects or tyre wear issues and notifying both management and customers.
•    Ensuring all client vehicles remain completely clean of workshop dirt, oil, or marks after tyre service tasks are completed.
•    Maintaining strict operational documentation on job cards in line with regional company policies.
