Tyre Technician
Job Description
Tyre TechnicianLocation: Colchester
Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum (£30,000 basic + £6,000 bonus)
Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays 8:00am–12:00pm
The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tyre Technician to join a busy and professional workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Tyre Technician who takes pride in their work, delivers excellent customer service, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
As a Tyre Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a full range of tyre-related duties while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
Removing, repairing, and fitting tyres
Diagnosing tyre faults and advising on repair or replacement
Wheel balancing and wheel alignment
Carrying out puncture repairs
Working with tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
Managing your daily workload effectively as a Tyre Technician
About You
Previous experience working as a Tyre Technician or in a similar role
Strong technical knowledge of tyre fitting, repairs, and diagnostics
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Confident using basic computer systems
Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
