HGV TechnicianLocation: Felixstowe
Salary: basic salary up to £45,760 per annum
Hours: rotating shifts: Early: 07:00 – 15:30; Late: 15:30 – 00:00 (midnight) Saturdays as required, overtime paid at up to £33.00 per hour (time and a half)

The Role – HGV Technician
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing faults and accurately specifying repair solutions
- Supporting the production of quotes and works orders
- Identifying defects during servicing and planned maintenance
- Ensuring accurate time recording and correct labour coding
- Completing effective shift handovers, including outstanding repair work
- Handing over fully completed jobs for invoicing
- This role suits an HGV Technician who takes pride in high standards, accuracy, and efficient workshop processes.
What You Will Bring
- Significant experience working as an HGV Technician within the Heavy Goods Vehicle industry
- Strong knowledge of VOSA requirements and the MOT testers’ manual
- Understanding of Operator Licence laws and regulations
- Experience applying Standard Times and working to workshop KPIs
- Strong technical and diagnostic knowledge
HGV Technician Requirements
- HGV Technician qualification: City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving and technical analysis skills
- Experience using GDS and Impact systems
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
