Vehicle Damage Assessor
Location:Basildon
Salary: £36,000–£42,000 per year + bonus
Shifts: Monday–Friday

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join a busy, fast-paced workshop. If you are skilled at assessing vehicle damage, creating accurate estimates, and working to high standards, this is your chance to bring your expertise to a role that values precision and professionalism.
What you’ll do:
  • Work as a Vehicle Damage Assessor, inspecting damaged vehicles and assessing repair costs and timescales
  • Create accurate estimates using Audatex, following manufacturer and Thatcham methods
  • Liaise with the workshop team, parts managers, and bodyshop staff to ensure smooth workflow
  • Ensure all job cards and estimates meet required standards and SLA targets
  • Maximise overall estimate profits while maintaining excellent customer care
  • Pair completed repairs and job cards ready for invoicing
What we’re looking for:
  • Experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • VDA/ATA qualification required, or willingness to achieve it
  • Current Audatex certification (please include with application)
  • Strong organisational skills, problem-solving ability, and flexible work attitude
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
